Black History Month in Johnson City, TN
When it comes to showing respect to the people of the black community, the country does not leave any opportunity. The entire month of February is dedicated to paying homage to the black people for their contribution to the country. Several states hold celebrations throughout the month across several days. Johnson City, Tennessee, is one of the cities where the events are held in full swing.
The schedule of the events is as follows.

- 5- “Breach of Peace”: The event is scheduled to display the solo performance of Mike Wiley. It displays historical accounts of the Freedom Rides of the surviving participants and those who partook in the struggle for African American equality campaigns.
- 6- The Poetry Café: This event invites the greatest student artists like singers, musicians, rappers, storytellers, and poets to display their talent publicly.
- 7- Sankofa African American Museum on Wheels: The exhibit displays many artifacts, African art, paintings, inventions, sculptures, and articles of the bygone era from newspapers meant for the black people.
